ok. im selling my gt40pheads and me and my cousin was taking them off. i got 1 of the heads out and i got all the bolts from the other head execpt 1 bolt that my cousin stripped [Mad] [Frown] . HOw the hell can i take it out??its one of the ones that are on the head. i tried everything. even the alagator tool. what can i do? could i cut it off?plasma cutter??? pls help . gotta sell these a.s.a.p [Mad] [Mad] [Mad] if somebody can take it out ill give them 40$ when i sell them. thanks eddie

First if you haven't already tried this pound on a smaller size 12 point socket and see if that will give you enough bite to remove the bolt. If that fails what I've done in the past is weld a nut on top of the stripped bolt head and than remove it that way. That kinda makes it tough however if you don't weld or have a welder handy to do so.

mtbaughs thats a really good idea, i'm stuck in the same damned situation right now, except i got two stripped bolts.

update: i got my two headbolts off today. i pounded a 6pt 12mm socket w/ an extension with a small sledge. i guess this mangled the head enough to keep the 6pt 1/2" real tight on there, the bolts came right off.

now, we'll see if i'm dumb enough to use these bolts again

yeah i have tried that and that 12mm [Frown] . this fucking suck ass i even tried to drill through the center of the bolt so it can snap off while hamering it. it wont work. JOCO is going to weld another bolt on there for me and see if that works. i need to sell these a.s.a.p! [Frown] lucky phil

Your best bet is to weld a bolt to the stipped bolt. If you don't have a welder then....... I have a welder. Where do you live? i'm in fremont. email me: stroked50@tmail.com
