Hey guys,
I'm trying to sell my Edelbrock Performer RPM heads (part # 6025) to someone with this car. I know these heads will bolt up but I am unclear if they will allow for enough piston clearance even with 1.6 rockers. Anyone know??

It'll depend on the cam. In most cases I fly cut the pistons when running that size valve though in rare cases it may not be required. Without doing it the only safe bet is to bust out the clay and measure piston to valve clearance.

They should fit, as long as he's running the stock cam. I new someone that ran DART 2.02 heads and cleared, not sure if he had a cam or not.

I'm not sure if the Twisted Wedge head is different but I'm running 2.02/1.60 valves and a TFS Stage 1 cam (.499/.510 lift) and haven't notched the pistons. Hope that helps. [ December 06, 2004, 11:56 PM: Message edited by: The Nick ]

twisted wedge heads have the valves at more of an upright angle so it less likely that you would need fly cut pistons butwith edelbrock im not sure

They will fit with a stock cam, that's it. (speaking from experience!)

the twisted wedge heads have the right valve angle to clear the pistons , but the RPM heads with even an E303 cam hit the pistons, so i would fly cut the pistons or change them or something like that maybe even a different short block, but they usually dont clear stock pistons,
