Personally, I'd use a dremel tool on it. Break out the sanding rolls, and take every edge off that nick. It'll be fine after that.

It is no big deal, use what the first guy said or just use some fine sand paper and sand it flat

I know it may be hard to tell from a picture but heres for what its worth. I dont think it is rising up anymore. Would it be safer to go a little deaper with the sanding or a little more even? can i hurt anything by taking a little more off? http://www.californiafords.com/album/00003862/100_0800.JPG

If it was me I would prolly take a bit more off, either way I'd guess you were safe at this point.
