idler pulley? or tensioner... those are the only things i can think of. i have heard it is commmon to have to get a new tensioner. since your stang is 130K i would look into it. i will probably look into one too, jus in case, after my swap is done. do you plan on doin a PI swap? if so some guy is sellin 00GT heads/cams for 250 shipped! oh and BTW, did you IM me on aim a few nights ago?

probably the trans or something in the rear end(wheel bearing, gears...)
could also be the fuel pump [ November 18, 2004, 04:58 PM: Message edited by: HungryHippo ]

Pull the belt off and run the car and see if the howling is caused by the front acessories. It could be the tensioner or possibly an alternator thats about to go out.

Sounds to me like your pinion bearings may be shot. Does it sound more toward the rear or to the front. Definitely unhook your belt as previously suggested too. Even get a passenger to move from the fron to the back seat to see if it louder back there. If so your rear end needs a teardown. Good Luck

maybe its low on fluid. My dad's new TKO howls and i think thats the problem with it cause we spilled hella fluid last time we put it in. I checked it and it wasn't that much lower but it was still lower than it was supposed to be.
