What kind of power gain will I get when adding a cobra upper and lower intake with a 65mm throttle body? Rest of the motor is stock except catback. Thanks Casey

my prediction - 5-8hp.
You'd see a bigger gain from underdrive pullies.

Considering how unequal the stock lower flows, it should be more than that. I will say 15-20 conservatively.

if you already have some bolt ons and gears, a cobra intake will give you a nice seat of the pants gain

I'd have to agree....
I intalled an Edelbrock which outflows a Cobra intake on a mostly stock 94 Gt and felt hardly anything...I felt more from my ASP pulley's....
If you do decide to go with an intake and TB I'd recommend a 70mm TB and Edelbrock....I hit 254rwhp with the stock unported heads and stock cam with that combo...It also leaves room for other mods...
*Hungry hippo/johnny~did you ever dyno with a box stock Cobra upper?....

I'd say 10-12 HP max from a 65mm TB and cobra intake.
opinions are like a-holes no?

Well said I really want to go for the "cobra" clone look with this car. I was just wondering I don't really care if its 5-20 hp.

i never dynod with only the cobra intake. the intake was one of my first mods after gears and i'd say it was my favorite one. there is also no need for a bigger throttle body yet
