get a beater for a dd
I would save up and get the engine blueprinted for a s.c and do it all at the same time...
Everyone on the board will have a different answer for the best combo

I dunno man...if you wanted a practical daily driver you should probably take all the money that you would invest in those mods and maybe purchase a two-year-old GT. You'll have a new car and better gas mileage.
You could stick with just a 306 N/A and get into the low 13s, high 12s for less money than you would spend on the 347 and all the hardware necessary to support it.
Just my opinion. It is your money.

long tubes won't pass a vis for smog. (unless you have a "buddy" in the smog bizness) everything else looks ok. except that part about street tires. but your combo listed on slicks would go mid-high 11's NA and 10's w/ the blower

well i had a daily driver it was a 92 notch w/trickflow twist wedge port and polished heads along with port and polished 93 cobra int. frpp z303 cam trick flow 1.7 rockers 24lb inject. 75mm mas air 75mm tb. under pulleys and all the little other bolt ons along with long tubes and msd ign. with a diablo chip and it went a bet of 12.65 @109mph and i drove it every day but 3" exh. was too loud for every day driving and by the way the car weighed in at 3025lbs.
as far as ur combo u have now goes it sounds like something im getting ready to do for my 67 cougar im gonna go 347 solid roller 232/240@.050 w/.600/.605 and a 112 lobe sep afr 185 heads edelbrock proflow efi w/36lb. inj. long tube headers tko 500 trans 9" w/3:73 gear
but i plan not to drive everyday and im going to run the new sticky mickey drag radials 275/40/17 hopefully this gives u and idea of some sort i hope to run 11's w/this and make 500hp at the motor or damn close! [ September 09, 2004, 08:22 AM: Message edited by: v-town coupe ]
