I first thought it was an exhuast leak. The clack got a little louder. Well I then thought it was a case of loud rockers. When I came home I adjust the rockers, found a few to seem looser then others. Put the intake back together and started her up, and the clacking continued. I then checked for exhuast leaks, thought I found it in a leak in the collecter. I tightened the collecter and stoped that leak and it helped nothing. I don't know of anything else really that could be causing the clacking sound. Maybe somebody can point me in new directions. The tap would speed up as the RPMs did, at first I thought it was a lifter. Further inspection resulted in noticing it was a broken pushrod, my pushrods have these little ball things on the ends and one of those balls had broken off. I was accelerating heard some nasty noise and the engine died and won't start up. I am thinking it was a push rod problem in the first place andnow turned into a broken push rod.
