get the h pipe if you got a 5.0, it will sound better, and setup of the h is better if your going with flows

with the off road h I'm almost thinking about adding headers while I'm doing it. What headers would you recommend for the setup?

You can use an x pipe with flows, but an H might be better. Get some Bassani or JBA headers if you wanna spend a little for more quality, otherwise get Ford or BBK. I've got some JBAs, the quality is excellent, one piece thick flange for easy installation, very solid headers.

I run a set of BBK equal length shorties, off road X with 2 chamber flows coming out to a I think 3 inch tip. They sound really nice, kinda loud tho.

I would suggest to buy the same brand headers and pipe, that way it will have the best fit. [ August 12, 2004, 04:49 PM: Message edited by: Gear Head ]

www.mustangexhaust.com - go to the sound clips area.
IMO - H pipe with flows, X pipe with straight through mufflers.
some X pipe/flow combo's I've heard sound really bad, while others sound pretty good. Actually now that I think of it the only ones I liked had longtubes, the ones I didn't had shorties.
