If, and I am judging by your screen name, this code came out of a '96 Mustang Cobra, P1443 is an EVAP system control problem and has nothing to do with the iac. Basically, P1443 indicates a problem with the EVAP purge flow system. Check for any pushed out pins, damaged pins or corrosion. If the connector is ok that leaves you with either the purge control solenoid or the purge flow sensor as possible problems. Testing the items will require a volt-ohm meter to check for proper resistance in the solenoid and proper voltage signals to and from the sensor. Or, you can substitute parts. Substituting a known good part with a suspected problem part is, of course, only possible if you have access to a known good part. <br /> </font> </td></tr> </table></td></tr></table> <br /> <br />
