Well folks i ran into a big problem just got done fixing my car up and and started her up get reay for the big nervous grive and put my car in reverse didnt go anywhere not in any gear the valve body is hooked up to the shift lever and everything seems to be ok we made a space for the aftermarket torque converter so not sure what else could be wrong my friend rebuilt it for me so im wondering if any1 had this problem im sure its little but just in case. Its a c4 tranny to a 289 ????? whats going on

Simple test...
Jack up the rear of the car, put it in gear, and see if you can or can't rotate the wheels to verify you are actually in any gear at all...
BTW... what kind of tranny/coverter is in the car?
Did I understand you right...??? Your buddy rebuilt your tranny?

Maybe not enough Tranny fluid?.. i know my bro C-4 took like 6 qrts i think. before it started moving..

Yea my buddy rebuilt it for me and it asked for 9qt of tranny fluid when dry we put the car up and moved the tires but yet nothing happend i used a tci saturday night special torque converter. So we are wondering what else it could be hoping its not anything major on saturday we are going to take it to a shop to find out but i was wondering if anyone been through this problem already before the tranny shop robs me$$$$$$ LOL
