Topic: Need help choosing clutch

i wanted to upgrade the clutch because i dont think it will hold up with the MT ET streets or will it???? i plan on launching from 4,000 to 5,000 RPM my car is just a 02 gt with all the bolt ons what clutch do you guys think i will need??? thanx for the help

My stock clutch held up fine with 4-5k launches on ET Streets.

My clutch never went out it had about 45k miles on it and still looked good. The only reason I changed it was because I blew the tranny and put the LTs on plus a bunch of other crap.

not sure if youve ever seen Mark drive..but at the drag strip hes a freakin animal! launches with no mercy and bangs the gears HARD!! Then changes tires and commutes through stop and go traffic to and from work

BTW I have a spec II and it can be a pain in traffic.

Wow, my King Cobra couldn't last through 3 passes on ET Streets....Hard to believe your clutch lasted that long, but it's awesome...

Clutch life depends on many factors:
how long you ride it out of the hole (which shouldn't be much with MT Streets warmed up)
how long you drive the car mileage-wise
lots of stop-go traffic
I would go with a Spec II when it's time to replace it.

I would waste the money on a spec II, when a Spec III is only $30 more. Pay the cash its worth it.
