im putting a new fuel filter in and i cant get the old one off. i did it in auto shop and we had a tool and it made it really easy but is there a way to get it off without that tool, i cant pull the fue lines off?

when I did it, I just broke the little plastic retainer, the filter should have came with one? mine did..

its those special ford fuel fittings, you must get a tool to get the fuellines off without the tool you won't be able to do it. Also the tool has to be the right size otherwise it won't work. They are just a big pain especially the fuel filter ones you just need to keep working at it.
94gt - his fuelfilter lines aren't like our 94-95 model.

haha, i did want to break that piece of shit, untill i turned the filter and it poped right off and that is when i almost took a gas shower . when i posted off i had already replaced it with a new filter . if i were old enough to buy some beer i would have had one to celebrate...lol

btw the fitting is 3/8 for anybodys future reference.
