I've got 99 gt running 14.044 @100mph. I'm considering gears but what kind. 355 or 373 I wanna sort of gain freeway but have good quarter mile. My friend has a 03 gt and cold air with 373s he is running 14.045 @100mph pretty damn close. But I've got more mods than him. All I got is - kenny bell cold air - steeda under drive pulleys - b&m short shifter - king cobra clutch kit w/fly - lowered 1.5" frnt 1" bck

they are new race gears for 8.8 rears. i would go with those since you rev up higher than 5.0's.

When I I am racing I redline my gt at 6000 rpm. My redline is at 5500 or something I forget. but I do cruise on weekends with it , My whole thing about my ride is being able to race on track and being able to cruise on the freeway aswell so do you think that the rearend specialist will have some 3.90s for my ride?

4.10s Go to a modular board, and you will see that the new 4.6s need more gear then the old 5.0s. Most people on this list will tell you to get 3.73s, and that is because it is what works on a 5.0.

Your not going to get anymore power its just going to get you down the track a little quicker. I don't remember off hand how much ET I dropped. One thing to remember is that you will have an extra shift when you put gears in, so make sure your shifting is very fast otherwise your times will not come down. If you have your timeslip from your best time post all the times on it. You should be in the 13s with a 100mph trap speed.
