I've done it before it all depends on if you have a good donor car. If you have a wrecked 5.0 car and can just grab what you need off of it then it's fairly simple if you have the know how. On the other hand if you only have a motor for the 5.0 swap than you have your work cut out for you. As for the parts you will need. Motor of course,tranny wiring harnedd W/cpu,fuel pump,rear end,and if you wanna stop some gt brakes. Goof luck with whatever you do.

I have a donor i could get but with the 4 cyl brakes....How would i smog it if i do the swap?

i helped rob with his swap his LX from a 4 cylinder auto to turbo v8 stick car.
it took some time. but it really wasnt that hard.
ive seen several people accomplish this swap and not one of them had a donor car.

I did it with a donor car.
really was not that hard, I did a 5 speed conversion at the same time.

it will smog perfectly the law smof law states if it was offered in that year its smog legal as long as you have all the smog parts on it that the factory put on it i do them all the time theres no promplem at all if yo need someone to do it call me 916 613 1959 ask for sean

blind lx did a great job with the steps in the swap . im getting ready to do put a 93 cobra motor in a 93 lx 4cyl. coupe
