So here's what's happening. Everytime I go in reverse out of a parking spot and hit the brakes to stop, I get this really loud grindy noise. It's somewhat like a loud moan, possibly metallic. Since it only happens when I back up from a parking space, I think it's got something to do with my e-brake that I use during parking. Does anyone have any experience with this?

BTW I drive a 95 GT

It may or may not be Brake related.

There are several things that can "grind" when you are backing up.

It may be brakes, but I also can be Bearings, rear end, or simply a stretched cable, among other things.

I've seen several people with these symptoms and it's been one of the above mentioned items typically.

But everyone knows that there's nothing typical about a grinding noise, could be many things.
