AFR-165s, stock cam is great for emissions. I like baked doritos chips the best myself, anyone?

Id pay someone to port the crap out of some stock e7's, B Cam retarded 4 deg, and biggest TB you can get, ohh and Definetly SuperChips, and if you want more power definetly a 101MM Turbo.

yea, just port those stock heads, get some 36# injectors, and of course you need a cold air kit too!

you guys have it all wrong. Get the 86Gt heads, Zcam (a.k.a camzilla), 90mmtb, spider intake, 50lb injectors and a cobra 70mm mass air. This is a proven combo for 11's on the motor. If you want later, you can get a A-trim vortech and get at least 15lb of boost out of it with a good tune.

Is the Z cam smog-legal? I was under the impression that it wasn't. Can anyone clear this up for me? Thanks.

What he said. Plus, get a 3-way timing gear set and retard the stock cam 4 degrees. Add 1.7 rockers, too. 24lb injectors w/ matching MAF, and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
Do not use any aftermarket chips unless you go Autologic (just bought out by Diablo) have a professional tune it on a dyno. With that said, your combo will not really need one.
It's all about the Lay's KC Masterpiece BBQ chips...

on second thought, I wouldn't want to buy AFR-165's ever because AFR-185's will work probably 95% as good on a stock 302. Yeah it stinks if you have to clearance your pistons a little, but it's workable.
But they are a no brainer on a 302 based stroker, and capable on a 351.
possibly the last head you need to buy?

i hear if you put the drivers side head on the passenger side (and vice versa) you get more power since the 86's driver's side head flow more and the passenger side cylinders make more torque. [ June 07, 2004, 02:17 PM: Message edited by: chosen1 ]

Pullies are good for 20 horse power and a K&N filter will put you close to 300 horsepower. You obviously need to address the muffler issue here as well. 1-chamber flows are the only way to go. The reason they are so much louder is because they make way more horespower. Your car will love them. On a stock bottom end 302 I recommend the B-5-tup-1d cam. It will work great for nachternal emmissions and run like a raped ape at the track. As far as a throttle body goes. Accufab 90mm is the best for this combo. Ford GT-40P heads are the way to go. Good luck

No that cam has a quicker ramp rate and is designed to be ran with two power adders at the same time. I.E. Turbo/Blower, Turbo/NOS, Centrifugal blower/roots blower, nitrous/blower. You have to run a special titanium 6-core radiator for this application though that requires a K&N filter for you windshield wiper motor however this combo cannot be run in conjunction with a convertible top motor. Also, the fuel cell required for this cam takes up too much space in the trunk and if you run an aftercooler kit from Vortech, you will have to do the battery relocation kit in the driver's lap. It seems dangerous but in runs hard as hell. No one has built a combo strong enough to handle that cam yet. Dart is currently in talks with Nasa about a special hybrid metal that can handle upwards to 10,000rwhp. Should be on the market next spring. Watch for this to be run in John Force's new outlaw car
