i just recently changed my egr valve and i now i have a check engine light on, i have a strong feeling its because my pcu has gone into a mode which thinks there is no egr..i believe its called "EGR TYPE 2-None" either way im hoping that if i disconnect my computer for 20min or so it will resest it back to normal or at least scan the sensors and notice that there is a EGR in place and turn the MIL off. anyways i took my passenger kick panel of and my PCU is cramed way in there and i tried to pull it out but it wont move. i am assuming that its held with some bolts, so my ? is ....
how can i disconnect it?
there are about 4-6 connectors connecting wires together, they are just hanging around near the computer, im not sure if they are connected to it...anyways i dont think these are the connections i need to disconnect i think there is one main connector that i need to disconnect with about 40-60 pins. if anyone can help lead me through this or show me pictures of where the connector is that would help out alot. ive been told i need a tweecer <sp?> or eec tuner to change the mode the computer is in but im hoping reseting it will do the trick. thanks
and btw as soon as i get my hands on a code reader i will run the codes, but until then i would like to try this... my reason is because i havent messed with anything else besides the egr valve and EVP sensor

take the kick panel off, take your glove box out, and look in there and you will be looking at the computer (silver box)
monkey it out of there and you can disconnect the main plug, its held on with a small bolt that goes in the middle of the plug so make sure you remove the bolt before you go yanking on the wires.

Next time just disconnect the battery and let the computer clear for 15 minutes or so. This does the same thing without pulling the computer out

LOL i was just gonna say "remove your battery terminals" but.... just get a code reader and pull the codes and with anything like that you should be able to clear the codes! lol there is a REASON for the check engine light man!!! that means that something F'ed up and your computer wants to tell you about it! ya dig?
