my 87 5.0 lx has only been getting about 8 miles per gallon ive had this problem before gas was getting in with my oil and only after 700 miles my oils looks like its never been ghanged how do i stop it

also my idel sticks at 2000 rpms or it tahes a while to come down
please elp what can it be

Sounds like it's running really rich. Does it make your eyes burn at idle? It could be caused by any number of issues - MAF problem, Injector stuck open, really bad O2 sensor, misfire, et cetera.
