I have a t-45 and a t-3650 one from a 00gt and the other from a 2001 gt. The 3650 grinds in third which is probably due to a synchro. I think the t-45's shift fork is gone. The tranny stayed in gear but the shifter moved freely. So I heard it is a shift fork. MY question is which would be cheaper to fix? And is the t45's problem likely a shift fork? Thanks for any info. Johnny

I'd fix the 3650...Most rebuild kits have new syncros anyway...
Yeah, it sounds like the T45 had or has a broken shift fork...It might have broken a keyway or something on the shift fork assembly too...The best way to find out is to take it apart...hehe

I need to take out the t3650. How much you think to fix a synchro on it? Johnny

I'm not sure, maybe $450
If you replace one syncro you might as well replace the others...
Call Modern Driveline in San Jose and find out...
