Here's the deal:
I've got a '95 w/ a '91 CrownVic 351. GT 40s, edelbrock intake, 24#s, etc. I just took my car apart this last week to change the head gaskets, and I finished putting it back together today. Now the bitch won't start, and I gotta be on the road tomorrow at 7 for my dynotune!
I have good fuel pressure (my gauge reads 35ish and holds pressure plenty long) and with the timing light on while cranking the engine I do get the light flashing every few seconds (keep in mind turning the engine over, not actually running). So I've got fuel and it would seem I have spark. But it wont run. My hunch is the timing; when I had the heads off I turned the crank to make #1 TDC and when I reinstalled the dist I had the trigger pointing at 12 o'clock. Then when I put the cap back on (after engine had been turned over a few times, to torque the roller rockers) I put #1 marking on the cap at 12 o'clock as well. I'm not sure if I did that the correct way or not, but I think that's how Im supposed to do it. Anyways I can't check to see if the timings on or not because the engine doesn't rotate fast enough during crank to effectively use the timing light.
If anyone has any suggestions, I could desperately use some advice before I have to cancel my dynotune appt that I've waited 4 months for...

So, this 351 was running and all you did was take the heads off to replace the head gaskets?...
OK when you turn the #1 cylinder was it on the compression stroke?...Make sure that the dist rotor is pointing at teh #1 terminal on the dist cap too and not nessesarly at 12o'clock...
