i was cruisin on the streets ..saw an open lane for at least 1/4m so i decided to floor it..since i haven't messed around in awhile.. brought the rpms up to 5500rpms.. i came to a stop and my car started bogglin' like it was going to die(i was on neutral).. luckily light turned green, got home in like 5 min.. and now the car drives ok.. its okay now.. but i was wondering how come it "boggles" during idle ???
thanks

This is most likely a tuning issue that needs to be tweaked. It is common with supercharged cars. Basically the tuner needs to adjust coast down shuffle, hanging idle after clutch-in and things along those lines.

is it really bad for my car, i mean will it break my engine?? cause any detonation..or nething real bad?? cause the "tuners" are fordchip and they only come down once a year... can't really get the computer fixed

I wouldn't think you are in extreme danger with whats going on. I am not there so I am going off just what you mentioned above. It would be good to get it taken care of though. If you want a really great tuner locally talk to Ray at Dyno Labs in San Ramon. [ April 30, 2004, 06:22 PM: Message edited by: mtbaughs ]

im thinking it might be a loose vacuum hose because this never happened to me in my 5 speed.. i've gone fast MANY times... and this is the first time it happened to me, twice in one day.. so im thinking it might be a hose or a clamp...can it be nething else? (instead of the tune)

Well if this is taking place after any work or mods to the car you might want to check over everything. Without a real background on the car it's really just a guess on my end.
