Hey Guys,
As summer nears, I've come to a decision that I would like to rebuild my motor. I plan on getting some new heads, cam, and probably intake and some headers. Just wondering what would the best brands to buy for my car that will give me the most performance out of my car.

afr 165's, FMS x-cam, edelbrock performer intake, 1.7 rockers, 24lb injectors, accufab 70mm throttle body, pro-m 75mm maf(calibrated for 24lb injectors), anderson motorsport n/a powerpipe, 255lph fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, msd distributor, new plugs/wires , and if you already didnt get them: pulleys, radiator, electric fan, headers, o/r x , muffler of ur choice catback, shift kit, and whatever else we mentioned in ur previous post...

Well if this is going to be a 302 motor rebuild I'd get a set of AFR 165 heads, an E-303 cam from Ford racing and a cobra Gt-40 intake manifold. This set up passes smog with flying colors and produces a really nice idle. There are certainly more aggressive cam profiles out there but overall I really like the E-303 for it's driveability and power.

I like trickflow heads better.
FUCK AFR!!!But hey it costs money to jump on the bandwagon, and if you want to pay $400 more, then that's all on you!
both these combo's will probably make you happy though- at least for a while. ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif)

The reason why I will never use trick flows is simple. When trick flow first came out they built their heads in such a manner that almost all of them had issues with leaking valve seals. I saw car after car with this issue. I've heard that trick flow has re-designed their head and no longer has these issues anymore. I guess you could say seeing that early on from them made me not want to ever buy or install a set from them. The only two real choices IMO for heads are from either AFR or Edelbrock as I've seen nothing but good things from them. The AFR's make more power where as the Edelbrocks make less but are built even stronger. [ April 26, 2004, 01:38 PM: Message edited by: mtbaughs ]
