We would pull the EGR valve off and give it a proper cleaning, change spark plugs and wires. Verify proper fuel pressure, change fuel filter and other basic tune up items. Cause last time I filled my tank it was 14.3 gallons @ $31.00.<br /><br />As for your eating of the gas...I would do everything suggested above...not only for the problem you seem to have but because you just bought the car and its always a good idea to do a bisic tune up once you have a new used car.
