is there a way i can find out if a motor is a roller cam motor with out taking stuff off

i thought all H.O motors were roller motors as well. Hopefully someone else can confirm this????
H.0 motors use a 351 firing order, so if you trace the wires and got a 351 firing order, then you could tell if it was or roller/H.O motor?

Well even some T bird motors that aren't HO motors had roller cams.

Check the part # on the block to know for sure. A 302/351 roller motors firing order is 13726548

This motor from a thunderbird used non HO regular old style firing order and this fucker had a roller cam.

I'd bust out the flashlight and look on the sides of the shortblock. I can't recall exactly where the block part # is located. You might be cleaning the shortblock up to find it if there are leaks.

The block number is located where the starter would be but on the drivers side.

all 5.0 motors were rollers when they switched over, including the Tbirds, Cougars, Mark VIIs, trucks, and Stangs
