I'm runnin the performer pacakage (intake, cam, lifters) on my 65'. The reason I went with these is because the engine is pretty much stock and felt that this would be the appropriate intake package.
My egine feels like it runs outa power at close to 5k . It feels real strong most of the time before that or just when I get on it. I feel like this intake is slowing me down, and I should've gone with the RPM.
What if i get a tune Will that help at all?

Hmm it's probably the combination of the cam and dual plane manifold. They are supposed to pull to 5500 rpms but that doesn't seem to be the case. Changing over to the rpm combo would solve this problem but when running a cam with only 204/214 duration @ 50 (performer kit) you still might be limited at the top end. What kind of carb are you running?

My plan is to sell the car anyway, I mean it still runs pretty hard, but i guess the reason why I'm complain is becuase it's not as fast as the saleen...
How much do you think a port job will set me back-will it really make a difference? I've been wanting to try out some porting anyway...
