Im thinking of buying a 94 9c1 caprice but when i took it for a drive it felt like stayed in first gear for tooooo long. It went into every gear fine but just that 1st gear worries me.I was thinking it could be a module or something little. What do you think?

first gear on my truck (4l60e) goes up to 45mph...second shifts at 77mph.

should be, mine's stock..
`97 gmc sierra, 3.42 open rear end.

Is that under normal acceleration.

that under wot, normal acceleration it shifts around 20-30mph into 2nd.
