i have a 91 with a fan that i have to switch on in oreder to start the fan so it doesnt over heat..is there any way i can get the thermo to let the car know when to turn on the fan by itself? it has a creat engine thats why i'm not sure what to do ..i bought the car like this with this extra switch for the fan..it works but its a hassel to keep on turning it on all the time..is there any kits or somthing i can do??? crazytone510@aol.com

you could just run it from a switched source, or put in a high current capable relay that's turned on from a switched source.

the fan is just fine the only thing is that it has to be turned on manually w/the switch..i was wondering if i could set up the thermo to make it start by itself when the thermo reads a certain degree?

You can do that with the Black Magic Electric fan, but I have no idea what fan you are using.

that what he's got..an electric fan..now i was wondering how to make it go on by itself??my friend who has a 69 camaro has a sensor right in thr radiator hose or something and it has a switch to set it at a degree where its supposed to start automatically?

if you have the theromstat sensor with the fan then yes if not you can either (1) buy the adjustable thermostat regulator or (2) the cheaper way is hook the fans up to an ignition and they will always be on when the car is on. if you need help installing these electrical pieces let me know drop me a pm and i can schedule you in. thanks, shaun
