i have a 97 gt with lots of mods courtesy of hci and also a good sound system..i have been noticing that my volts drop sometimes at idle and have been told to get a 200 to 25o amp alternator...there is a bullet alternator on there now cuz of the bullit intake...even then hci had to shave down a section of it so the pulley could turn...can anybody recommend the best alternator to buy...what is top of the line?? They don't have an alternator bigger than 140 amps. There is a company that advertises in 5.0 that makes a 200. I don't have one sittig in front of me right now. If you still haven't found one by Sunday when I get back to school I will look at my 5.0 and let you know
