89 gt with a 8,8 rear end with stock 2.73 gear with limited slip dif. i plan to upgrade to 3.73 and add a spool. Is this a good setup and whats the name of that place in san mateo that does gear jobs for $360 or something close? thanks for the help

Spools are for the drag strip only. People trying to run them on the street basically drag the tire in a turn which means broken axles before long.

hmmmmm I have a friend that regularly autocrosses with a spool rear end, I'l wait to see what he says here

First, you do NOT want a spool for a street car. It will cause broken axles, as you are putting excess stress on them while turning. Secondly, you should have "Haulinassmaro" or myself do them...our prices for installs are MUCH cheaper.
