I just installed some stock rocker arms on my rebuilt 87 302. on a few of the rockers, like 4 or 5 of them there is slack between the pushrod and the rocker, whereas others are tight. why is this? I know its not normal, what do I need to do?
thanks

yeah, when the motor gets turned over and the lifter takes up the slack, the rocker moves normal but the slack inbetween is what worries me...

have you started the motor and got oil pressure?
sometimes you need to build oil pressure to pressure the hydo lifter.
mine did the same thing on ped mount heads. after they were torqued they were loose.
ran the motor got oil pressure and they were tight.
try that
