I have an h-pipe I REALLY need to put on, I'm afraid that the blown cats on the current pipe are gonna @#$& somethin up in the motor. I would do it myself, only I don't have a proper jack or jackstands. I don't wnat to drive far to do this... someone near the South Bay preferred
I've called a couple shops and the hacks wont charge me anything less than an hour to do the work... and on top of that wont do it unless it has cats! [ February 23, 2004, 12:11 PM: Message edited by: 94Blackout ]

Thats a better suggestion.... the jack I have is only good for changing wheels really, however I will worry about that down the road. But for the time being I just want to get this thing put on immediately so I can troubleshoot and tune properly. Yesterday I was just looking for some emergency help, today I have lots more options now that I'm at home in San Jose.

if you have more options/time now, i would go ahead and buy the jack and jackstands, you're definitely gonna need them in the future and there's no time like the present to get them. with a jack and jackstands, you should be able to swap h-pipes in less than 1 hour.

Now I REALLY know you didn't read my first post carefully or all the way through, because I went back and edited the part that said no shop will do it for less than an hour and ADDED that they wont do it without cats either. Don't be all butthurt because the info about me not havin a jack or jackstands has been in there from the very first post.

Yeah I only found one shop that said they would do it for 100 without the cats in San Jose.
However, I just swung by this guys house and he said he would do it for $40. Took him 45 minutes, and he said he would have got it done quicker if he didn't have to run to the store to get some hose clamps!

I'm not tryin to argue either... I just know that I typed that because that is all I have been telling folks since I knew I needed to get this pipe on. And that I remember typing the original post and misspelling jackstand. But its no big deal.
