The oil pressure shoots down to the red line and wants to stay there until my foot hits the gas. I have a stock oil pressure gauge. Somebody told me I have a bent crank at one point and that was why my harmonic balancer goes out every one and a half years or less. What should I do. I also have knocking. There is a built 302 bored to 306 for sale on E bay with oil pump, timing chain and a few other goodies for 900. should I just get that and have someone drop it in. I don't want to pull the engine out again if I put in an old motor. That's pretty cheap...<br /><br /> Or you can buy a stock motor for around $500 or less and throw that in there.
