i have a 90' 5.0 with 107k miles on it... i was just curious, im thinkin of getting a rebuild done... now do rebuilds come in like different stages where you can get more stuff replaced or what? what exactly happens in a rebuild?? i have the money now and id like my car running perfect so i dont know... any opinions/advice would be appreciated.

That's not really that many miles. Parts replaced in a engine block rebuild: Piston rings, cam and main bearings, freeze plugs, and then you got all your gaskets... I think that's it. You can get your heads rebuilt too.

he could also get a whole new rotatiing assembly. If you're worried about the motor going out don't, There are 5.0's on this site that are raced and almost hitting 300,000 miles. If you're getting a rebuild may as well up the compression with some different pistons and get some more power too, and stroke it alsoif you'd like.
