I had 4:10's in my car with a 27-28 inch tall tire.To me its the best ratio you can have. And the engine wasnt screamin on the freeway either.I am going over to 4:30's now though. [burnout]

You'll be fine with the 4.10's man. I had them in my automatic 95 with 26 inch tires and it was like 3000rpm at 80 mph so you'll be fine if you're at say 65-70 [patriot]

4.10's on a 5spd will probably be hard to control on street tires. shit, 3.73's can be a pain. if you had an auto, i'd say go for it.

BTW in not sure what size tire you runnin but 245/50/16's are 25.6 in.

[Confused]

Steeper gears with a stock motor make 1st gear more and more useless.

I've got 4.10s in my car and its a 5spd. I don't know exactly how fast I'm going on the freeway because I never got the speedo recalibration gear, but I'd say at around 70-75, you're spinning around 2800.

I still say stick with buying new. Saving a hundred bucks isnt worth having to tear apart the rear-end again. If you can see visible damage to the teeth, I would definately no purchase it.

DON'T BUY GEARS WITH VISIBLE DAMAGE!! That's all bad. There are alot of good deals for gears on this site.
