Well they refused to even test my car. Can anyone refer me to a shop/test station in the Sacramento area that doesn't trip off shorty headers, Performer intakes and high-flow cats. It's been passing smog "as-is" for the last 10 years but this guy was being a hardass.

Someone has to have smogged their car somewhere between stockton and lincoln with a 2-cat H-pipe.

Damn that sucks! My car is due for smog in 5 DAYS!!!
I have shorties, c&l tube & meter and some other bullshit. Whenever some mom and pop shop looks under my hood they are like WTF?!? Just because shit is shinny or chrome or blue or red or says zex on it or sounds mean they instantly throw out a red flag. PHUKERS.
Did you tell him its all smog legal by law?

The visual seems to be the hardest test to pass these days!
Try Autotek (916)339-9161. They used own a mustang-only performance shop....so they know what mods are legal & what aren't. They're off Auburn Blvd between Garfield & Manzanita I believe.
BTW, high-flow catted H's/X's are NOT legal. Anything other then stock is a no-no.

Thanks, just what I was looking for. I called Autotek and the girl they have answering the phones said that it shouldn't be a problem but I'm having their Tech call me back before I make the 30 minute drive. I'll post my results.
Thanks again!

Hooray! It passed, barely. Max HC 121 and 96, Measured 121 and 96. The Mustang Gods were smiling upon me. Gotta get those cats replaced.
Thanks for the referral.
