95 5.0, Just wondering if there are any smog legal aftermarket heads out there? Or should I just have my stock heads machined?

I like the AFR (air flow research) heads the best. They make the most power and are emission legal. Also the Edelbrock heads are nice as well but make a little less power

It's hard to stay legal when fixing up a stang or any car in that matter. But there are a few Headers that are smog legal. I belive Mac Shorty equal length and long tubes are legal at lest it says so in the Mustangs Unlimited catolog. And so are the Ford Racing ones. [patriot]

My favorites are Edelbrock Performer heads, and they have the smog legal carb e.o. # right on them. Some smog techs dont care what they say on them though, and fail you on the visual-

The original TFS iron "street heats/Hi-Ports" are smog legal and have a CARB EO number. The original aluminum "street heats/Hi-Ports" do not have a CARB number but the do have the smog ports and will pass smog without issue.
