Drag radials could be a good idea or just nitto 555's. However if you want a tire that is going to last a decent amount of time and still have good traction in the rain I've had both Kumho Ecsta Supra's and Nitto 450's and they both worked great with rear end gears and fairly powerful cars

If Nitto or BFG DRs are not an option, I would recommend Michelin Pilot Sports... I have them on my Cobra with 4.30 gears and I get good traction on the street... They are expensive though... [ January 25, 2004, 07:55 PM: Message edited by: Rev Happy ]

the stickest street tires that i've used are BF Goodrich KD and Michelin Pilot which i am curently using. both are pricey, but well worth it to me. the pilots to me are a tad sticker than the KDs, but the KD will hold its own.

L60 dirt's(dont think they are street legal but man do they hook), BFG's DR's, M/T E.T. street's for maximum traction but short life and Nitto 555R's for longer life but a little less traction [ January 28, 2004, 12:21 PM: Message edited by: mustanggt5091 ]

Are Drag radials such as nitto 555Rs good for traction on the street or just at the track,,because I was also looking for a tire that would grab good in the street,,,Is there a tire that grabs better on the street than a drag radial does?

I recommend either the Bridgestone RE750 or Kumho Ectsa MX. Both have good forward bite and handle well also.

I like the Dunlop SP9000 because it has a short sidewall and seems to be pretty sticky. I have BFG's right now and they are great in a straight line but going around corners they hop over any bumps which can be kinda scary.
