you know i am also in the process of getting a motor and after asking around...i would reccommend local. Bayshore has gotten thumbs up from everyone i have talked to, that has dealt with them. you dont want to deal with a mail order motor because what if the motor goes bad or something fails, then you have to pull your motor out- mail it to them- and whats if they give you BS or say its not covered, then you HAVE to shell out more $$- then wait for it to come back, then reinstall the motor! fuck that! all that work ..blah i would rather have bayshore build my motor and if something goes wrong i can drive my car thier or tow it thier and get it fixed and go look at my progress at least.

Done a few D&D's shortblock installs. No problems, good stuff. Even had a problem with one (oil pump was cracked) they sent a new one out, no questions asked. Great customer service!

bay shore engineer builder is just a little far away from me, 2 1/2 hours. not a bad drive but if i had to have the car towed down there thats not really saving me money.
