Well, decided to shell out almost 2k for a new paintjob on my peeling paint, and since I do a lot of freeway driving, I wanted to get a nose bra for the car.
It's a 95 white GT, anyone have experience with any replica bras, or with any other aftermarket ones? Or could anyone gimme a review on the factory one? I was told it'd be around $125. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I've only seen bad scratches when the bra's are taken off. From rubbing against the hood. There are companies don't remember them that apply a 3M product that is like a lamination on your car to the areas you want, such as hood, mirrors etc. so that they won't chip your paint.

Yea I was thinking about that too, but isn't that pretty much just hardcore wax... I'd feel much safter w/ a layer of leather than that.. or possibly do both so the bra won't hurt the hood... hmm

man, when I bought my gt, it was pretty damned obvious that there was a bra on the car, I could see where the sun had beaten down on the old paint vs the 'new' covered stuff.

I would use the bra to cover up any chips after you actually got them. that way your not scratching up a new paint job, you scratching up an old one. unless you just like the way it looks that is.

Here is a site where they sell the 3M material, however I would assume its all in the installer on how well the job comes out looking. I saw it on a couple Saleens at a meet one time and it is barely visible.
