how do i do it, does it work, and what is the best way to do it. i need help fast, i cant drive my car.

1)i've used a baseball bat, thats old school and it does work.
2) i've used tin snips and cut the lip every inch or so and bent the tabs up.
3) i just used a die grinder with a mini cutoff wheel and removed the lip stopping about 6 inches from the ends and keeping about 1/16 of lip of the section i cut. i blended the ends into the area i cut and it pretty much looks factory.
