I work at a muffler shop and prefer Dynomax over anything because its pretty quiet until you get on it.

If using no cats then the sportsman street is good but if you are I'd go with the pro street.
Those one's I believe were the pro street. Loud if not catted.
They sell the same kit for around $800 bucks complete from the x to the tips and high flow cats. [ December 28, 2003, 09:28 AM: Message edited by: Fostang ]

my brother has the SLP loudmouth muffler on his Camaro. His car sounds good with cats on it no but before he put the cats on it sounded like a kid rolling around on his bike with a baseball card in the spokes

muffler choice depends on setup bro. how are you going to acieve 600hp? here is my reccommd.
if you are gonna go n/a with a base 302 setup a borla/bassanni/flowmasters will do you good.
now if you are going to go base 302 Supercharged i would go with borla/bassani
base 302 turbo, i would not get a chambered muffler, you need a bullet type of muffler with a 3in inlet and outlet, i believe borla makes one.
and any extreme motor i would go 3in In and OUT.
so to sum it up...
3in chambered ok (new flowmaster might work) with n/a or supercharged, but if you go turbo then you want a 3in bullet type of muffler. hope it helps

I have Dynomax Race Bullets. I use to have an off-road H-pipe and it was absolutely the worst sounding exhaust I have heard. It sounded like a tin can. Although it sounded awesome at WOT, the sound at idle and lower RPM's was terrible. It was so bad I put the stock H-pipe back on. I am switching to a stainless Bassani X-pipe w/ cats and a stainless bassani catback. I believe that is the best sounding and best quality exhaust that there is.
