Well, the past few days have royally sucked. Sunday night, I'm cruisin' down the freeway...and I hear this wicked whine starting from under the hood. I think nothing of it, maybe its a loose belt. It gets louder..and louder. I pull over about 3 miles down the road, engine still running. Ya, it's the blower...SCREAMING. Something internally has decided to go south. As much as didn't want to, the knife came out, belt cut...and my car was instantly N/A. The following day I don't drive it, so the Lightning sees duty. Yesterday, I adjust the fuel press and whatnot, figure I can drive it like this for a while. Ya, not gonna happen. Last night I blow not one, but TWO header gaskets. Ya, lovely... So, I'm minus one working blower and a set of gaskets now. The saving grace was last night though. "Cheap" and I were out havin' beers with some folks and the topic of my extra 5.0's and his Vortech without a home came up. So, now I've got a brand new SQ trim and one empty spot in my driveway. Anyone got pullies for a 5.0? I wanna see more than 10 lbs of boost ...

Very nice You'll love the power increase. If you pulley it up enough, the SQ won't be so quiet after all. Vortech blower whine.

I cannot wait to see how this thing runs. The car is STRONG as it is (NA), but of course a few pounds here and there are even more fun. The ball-drive Paxton is good, but is VERY tempermental to temperature. I could notice a serious difference in power after the car had been running 2 hours or longer. Hopefully this one is WAY different. As for "lucky", well...right place, right time. Although I do tend to score more than my fair share of deals. I hooked Cheap up, so it's all good.

With your setup Josh, I don't think it would last much more than a few serious launches.
I'm undecided on what to do with it, maybe sell it? Or rebuild it and slap it on my Lightning....
