what size tires should i get for stock 16s.i want bigger than 225/55/16. im thinking maybe 245/45/16. also what brand. im leaning towards Kumho. any suggestions? thanks. also post up some pics. [ December 01, 2003, 04:57 PM: Message edited by: 97pearlGT ]

If you want to go 245's then get 245/50-16's. Those will be basically the same height as the 225/55-16's (25.74" vs. 25.64"). The wheel well will be filled the same and your speedo will not be off. Just check for rubbing on the front.
As for brands...ask 10 people here on the board and you will get 10 different answers. But to make a recommendation we'll need to know if you're going for handling, straight line traction, both? And how much are you looking to spend?

how much bigger on the first number can you go on stock wheels? I thought you had to keep the same size...
btw my tires are 215/70R14. I'm probably going to get some 225/65R15 wheels/tires from my uncle (I think that's the size...) and I'd probably end up getting some new tires for those. [ December 02, 2003, 05:12 PM: Message edited by: zpyro35 ]

i have had the kumhos and they are good for the price but for the same price u can get the yoko aes100 and that is what i have on the back of my car in a 245/50/16.
