I recently bought a complete dash with evan the steering wheel.And i wanted to know how to change the odometer to match the miles my car has?

you need to spin the speedometer with a drill and it will make the miles go around
faster your drill spins faster the mph go and the faster you will get it to what you want

or you could say there's 5,000 miles on the car....

Ya, but if he tries to sell it then someone enters 5000 miles into carfax, it will say its been tampered.

i heard abouth tampering but what if your geting a new odometer and trying to set it to the right amount?

You cannot just "buy" a new odometer. Those (by law) must be installed at a dealership. Just do like Rob said, get a drill and spin it! As for Carfax, it's a joke. More than 75% of the time it's wrong. All it takes is someone to put an incorrect odometer reading in when its registered, now it's "potential odometer rollback". It happened on my Cobra.
