We need to know how much the car weighed with driver going down the track and what kind of tranny is in the car.

I'm not sure how much those year stangs weigh so I'll just guess 3300 lbs with driver. That means you're making about 310 HP at the flywheel and with a C4 tranny you'll see 260 RWHP on the dyno-jet.

Thats not right at all, What PSI were the tires? Where they heated up right? What RPM were you leaving at? Were the tires spinning at all?

i had them at 25,20,18,15 psi with a good burnout,15 and 18 had the same result.I have a 3k converter,i had to feather it off the line or take it to 2k with the brake then let off the brake for about a sec the get on it.I should be capable of mid 12's right 12.93@106 with a 2.0 60 ft.

You should be able to leave hard off the line. Once that break is let off your foot should be to the floor on the gas.

I saw your car at the track. Didnt look like you were doing nearly long enough burn out. Do you have a line lock?? Like they said before if you dont see any smoke out your rear window keep heating them up until you do! Then that sucker will hook HARD. Just to be sure.. you have black wheels on the back with little et streets right?

If you get serious hook, like lo 1.6's, you might see 12.4-12.3. Have a good shift kit in the auto?

1. Take out weight. 2. Make more power. (power adder, port heads, etc.)
It's all about power to weight ratio, Very simple. (and getting it to hook.)

Work on the suspension first. Landrum mono leafs and cal-tracks are the best thing for those old stangs.
Intake depends on the rpm range of your cam.Small cam and valves will have a hard time trying to get rid of the extra fuel.

Those are overkill for most street/strip setups. Fresh leaf springs w/ Shelby Traction Masters (~$70) and some Competition Engineering 3-way drag shocks out back and there front 70/30's or 90/10's up front will can get you into the 1.5's w/ enough power.

I agree about the cam. Know your cam specs?

Good advise here. I really liked those over-ride type traction bars that sit on top of the leafs that shelbys came with..Keep pluggin away

Removing the sway bar will definitely improve your launch but really degrade your ability to corner. Put your battery in the trunk over the right rear tire. http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2002/02/battery/index.shtml
Lighter is faster- just think carefully about whether or not you will miss the stuff you remove...
Again- any idea on your cam specs?
