anyone have a 160 thermostat on a 99 and up? would i be able to put a 160 thermostat in my car and have byron program it into the chip when i get it tuned and have it run good, or is this not possible? someone told me that it is and someone else told it isn't and said to get a 180 instead.

a Cooler t-stat such as a 160 will increas fuel consumption, engine wear and sludge formation in the crankcase becuse the computer will allways think the motor is cold and inject more fuel in the motor than if it had the original factory t-stat. Remember that too much fuel going into the motor washes away the oil from the cylinder walls resulting in quicker engine wear, contaminates the engine oil with fuel, resulting in faster formation of sludge and reduces fuel economy. You get more power from a leaner mixture, not a richer one, so going to a lower t-stat will not help your car go faster.
