if i were to punch the cats out of one of my stock h pipes and just have those shields there...would it sound different than just a normal o/r h pipe?

Yes, it would sound like sh^t....YOu have to do a thorough job gutting the cat and its hard to do...Just save and buy an off road pipe..The off road pipes are 2 1/2" which is bigger than stock 2 1/4" anyway....

o/r pipes are cheap... mine was a bbk unit for $199.

you can find a mac o/r h pipe for a lot cheaper than $199

Ive got an off road h-pipe forya. From BBK- $125 and Ill bring it out there to your shop. Hows that tranny I sold ya? Dont gut your cats- the dust from punching them out is super bad for you to breathe! Also sounds like a UPS truck.
