I've heard in other state's it's legal as long as the bottle is closed (it can still be hooked up). There were other things that they could technically write it up on but didn't specifically mention nitrous. He said cops can write you up for whatever, then it's up to the court to uphold a ticket. Besides, like Elapid said there are 50 state legal kits with carb #'s. NOS wouldn't seek a carb # ($$$ outta their pocket) for something that's only legal to be run at the track.
