I need BFG 225/45/16's for my front ponies (to match the backs), but they don't carry them. I know that the 245/45/16s probably won't fit...Have any of you used 205/45/16's on your ponies? Will this size work?
Where's the best place to buy them online, tirerack?

245's are the largest tire you can fit on those ponies. I reccomend you getting tires at America's Tire Company.

Not true. I've got a set of 255/50/16 BFG DR's on one set of ponies and 245/50/16 Goodyear HP Plus' on another set.

Really? I have heard from many people using ponies that 245's were the widest that would fit on the rim. Maybe it depends on the tire manufacturer.

You should be fine with 245's in the front.

BFG Comp T/A DRs don't come in any other size for a 16" wheel than 255/50/16, so if you want Comp T/A DRs you either need turbines/ten holes so you can run a 235/60/15 or a non-OE wheel. I think the 255s look nice out back with 225s up front.

245/50/16's are a good fit, that's what I got and i'm lowered about 2 inches (eibach sporline springs).

Thanks for the replies...I'm going to get the other two tomorrow, but here's the problem- I have a 1990 GT dropped with eibach pro springs. Will the 245/45's fit the front without rubbing? I know they changed the fender in '91, so i want to double check before i buy them. It looks like it will be close..
