what tool do i use to remove the rear dif. plug, some one told me just the ratchet with an extensiton but it dosnt seem to be fittn quite right. 1988 5.0 mustang

Ya i beliveve it is the 3/8 rachet that does it.

okay, so its probably just really rusted in there. any tips on how to get it out, ive tryed liquid wrench

Soak it with whatever WD40 type product you want and then get at it with a 3/8th extension and a bar with some leverage. Should come right out

Put a bar type pole on the end of your wrench so that you can get more leverage. And yes it's a 3/8 drive.
